We are going to do a little bragging again about our latest round of revisions to this great self defense product website. This time around we have moved beyond the basic SEO upgrades and changes to doing a much better look for the website. We have really started focusing on the graphics end of things this time.
Most people are under the impression that a good well SEO'ed website is not allowed to have pictures or be slightly picture heavy even. This is not true. A great site is more than capable of sustaining pictures and media of all kinds. In fact if they are sone right the pictures and media can help the overall SEO of the website. You just need to maintain the alt tags and naming structures integrity along with the rest of the sites SEO plan.
When we started working on the self defense website, we first started with the obvious basics. We cleaned up the code and added proper HEAD area tags and metatags. Then we made a clear and concise focus on good original content where possible. It is not always possible to go through a sales oriented site and add good original content unless you are willing to take alot of time and creative license to do so. With all of that in mind we tried it anyway.
Now we are to the point of going back and doing a fine tooth comb of the site a page at a time. We are also making a fresh look for the site as we go. Making sure that where possible we are using "ID's" and "Classes" to ensure easier changes later.
